Gov. Larry Hogan has introduced a new series of initiatives focused on ensuring accountability throughout the state school systems while cracking down on corruption in the school system.
Following a discovery in July which found a Maryland election software to have ties to a Russian investor, Maryland Senators Ben Cardin (D-Md) and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md), are pushing for language which would require disclosure if any state election vendors could have control or are owned by a foreign national.
Following a news conference in early August, Jealous emphatically negated a question in which he was asked if he was a socialist, but has since apologized for his reply.
