B & O Railroad Museum issued the following announcement on June 16.

The B&O’s Mt. Clare Roundhouse is nicknamed “Baldwin’s Cathedral” after its architect, E. Francis Baldwin, who always dreamed of building a great cathedral for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. 

This building serves as the main exhibition building for the B&O Railroad Museum today. Completed in 1884, it sits on an acre of ground and towers 123 feet high into the sky.
