Baltimore Police Department issued the following announcement on June 20.

On June 20, 2018 at about 4:03 a.m., police were dispatched to 1300 block of Sergeant Street to investigate a shooting.

Responding officers canvassed the area and located an unidentified, unresponsive male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Homicide detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation.
