Loyola University Maryland announced on April 4 that its men’s golf team will participate in the Wildcat Spring Invitational, which will be hosted by Villanova University at Galloway National Golf Club in New Jersey.

The tournament marks Loyola’s first competition of April and is set to begin on Monday, April 5. The event will take place on the club’s par-71 course, which spans 7,111 yards and was designed by Tom Fazio. Teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday, followed by a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday. Each day of play will start with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Five golfers from Loyola—Jack Geyer, Liam Moloney, Diego Neira, Jackson Roman and Eli Spaulding—will compete for team scoring under the play-five, count-four format. Additionally, Lorenzo Sanz will participate as an individual competitor.

The Wildcat Spring Invitational provides an opportunity for Loyola golfers to test their skills against other collegiate teams as they continue their spring season.

Looking ahead, the Greyhounds aim to build momentum from this event as they progress through their schedule.
