Loyola University Maryland women’s rowing team concluded its 2025-26 season on May 15 at the Patriot League Championships, held on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The Greyhounds finished ninth overall as a team.
The event marked the end of the competitive year for Loyola’s rowers and provided an opportunity to measure progress across multiple boats. In the varsity eight race, Loyola placed third in its petite final with a time of 7:05.317, improving from a morning heat result of 7:11.148 where they finished fifth.
The second varsity eight also took third place in its petite final, crossing the line in 7:15.816 after posting a time of 7:14.155 earlier in the day. Meanwhile, Loyola’s varsity four crew showed notable improvement by finishing third in their petite final with a time of 8:44.085—more than eight seconds faster than their morning effort.
In other results, the second varsity four achieved second place in its petite final with a finish time of 9:08.715 following a preliminary round completed in 9:04.135.
Athletes competing for Loyola included Izabella Schafer (coxswain), Josephine Lightner, Mikayla Smith, Mary Cate Burger, Bella Taranto, Beata Turnquist, Molly Gum, Bella Guarnaccia and Emily Luttman for the varsity eight; Evan Ellsworth (coxswain), Marley Vallino and others for the second varsity eight; Addison Grubka (coxswain) and her teammates for the varsity four; and Autumn Plummer (coxswain) leading members of the second varsity four.
