Port Discovery issued the following announcement on June 15.

Thanks to support from Aquafina, for the last three months, the children of Baltimore have enjoyed a deeply discounted opportunity to access purposeful play and learning at Aquafina $2 Family Fun Nights held at Port Discovery Children’s Museum.

Held on the third Friday of each month during the months of April, May and June 2018, these events have provided children and families with affordable access to exploration, learning and play in the Museum’s hands-on exhibits, drop-in educational programs and learning opportunities provided by community partners all for just $2 per person.

Children and families have enjoyed:

•Taking part in Create & Read programs in the BGE StudioWorkshop

•Learning about – and trying – the science behind circus tricks in Circus Science.

•Meeting and learning about animals with the Maryland SPCA

•Hearing new stories and songs in interactive Circle Time programs

•Creating free Child IDs – and learning safety tips – with New York Life

•Exploring interesting and interactive temporary exhibits including Native Voices: New England Tribal Families and Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice™

•Going on an adventure through Port Discovery’s three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits including Wonders of Water, Tiny’s Diner, Kick it Up, Tot Trails, and many more!

On behalf of the hundreds of visitors that have been able to learn through purposeful play thanks to these important community events, we’d like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to Aquafina for their support.

It’s partners like you that make purposeful, powerful play possible!
