Baltimore home prices rise in September 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2018 in Baltimore rose by $8,500 while total sales increased by 24.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2018, there were 644 homes sold, with a median sale price of $113,000 - a 8.1% increase over the $104,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 518 homes sold in Baltimore in September 2017.

The median sales tax in Baltimore for 2018 was $2,487. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,463. This marks an increase of 1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
