Baltimore home prices rise in August 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Baltimore rose by $8,000 while total sales increased by 134.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were 995 homes sold, with a median sale price of $133,000 - a 6.4% increase over the $125,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 425 homes sold in Baltimore in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Baltimore for 2018 was $2,487. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,463. This marks an increase of 1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
