Baltimore home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Baltimore rose by $23,550 while total sales decreased by 35%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 1,377 homes sold, with a median sale price of $109,000 - a 27.6% increase over the $85,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,118 homes sold in Baltimore in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Baltimore for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,463, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
