Baltimore home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Baltimore rose by $12,980 while total sales decreased by 13.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 8,096 homes sold, with a median sale price of $105,000 - a 14.1% increase over the $92,020 median sale price for the previous year. There were 9,397 homes sold in Baltimore in 2016.

The median sales tax in Baltimore for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,463, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for 2017.
