The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, Maya R. Cummings for Congress, refunded $2,800 to Mellody L. Hobson on July 8, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Maya R. Cummings for Congress refunded $25,700 total since February 1.
