Cost of college went up for all students at Notre Dame of Maryland University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2017-18 at Notre Dame of Maryland University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $36,070 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $1,051 more than the $35,019 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 91 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.25 million and 55 students took out student loans totaling more than $435,317.

Including all undergraduates, 588 students used grants or scholarships totaling $10.82 million. Another 506 took out $4.23 million in federal student loans.
