American Visionary Art Museum issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
The world’s largest visionary environment spans 25 acres in Chandigarh, India and includes over 2,000 sculptures and 2 giant waterfalls created over 50 years. It's the second most-visited attraction in the country after the Taj Mahal. The Rock Garden is the loving creation of Nek Chand who started building an extraordinary, personal world of rock, clay, and other debris by night while working as a roads inspector by day.
Sadly, it's all being left to rot. After Chand's passing, the environment is now at a crisis point without a conservation program, guides, or staff, reports Raw Vision Magazine.
