81 percent of applicants to University of Baltimore were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Baltimore, 50 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Baltimore enrolled 5,565 students in fall 2017, including 2,949 in undergraduate and 2,616 in graduate programs, data shows. 16.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

80 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (47 percent) and white (32 percent).

The school admitted 81 percent of the 426 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
