University of Maryland, Baltimore enrolls 929 undergrads

At University of Maryland, Baltimore, 52 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 86 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Baltimore enrolled 6,703 students in fall 2017, including 929 in undergraduate and 5,774 in graduate programs, data shows. 27.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (49 percent) and Black or African American (19 percent).
