University of Baltimore issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
Steve Isberg, associate professor in the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business, will serve as a panelist on a webcast focused on the looming global trade war on

According to CRF, "Current relations between the U.S. and virtually all of its major trading partners have sent countries hurling toward a tit-for-tat tariff war. The U.S. has imposed tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese exports, and is threatening to impose additional tariffs on up to another $400 billion.. China has responded with tariffs on U.S. autos and agricultural products. Further escalation would have a significant on the entire global economy."
Isberg will explore the reality of what has happened so far in this "war," and what might come about in the future, and will separate the actual and the anticipated impacts if the trade war is escalated.
Prof. Isberg, senior fellow at the CRF, will be joined in the webcast by Judy L. Wagner, director of corporate credit at Roche Diagnostics Corporation, and Scott Blakeley, a nationally recognized attorney focusing on the business-to-business credit environment for Blakeley LLP of Irvine, Ca. The group will discuss updates on U.S. trade policy and tariffs; potential impacts on wages, supply chains, and production; the legal right to surcharge the customer the tariff cost, including disclosure requirement and the overall price increase or line item if a cost is imposed; and identifying customers that are importers of tariffed products or significant percentage of export sales and the subsequent impact on credit risk.
