Report: 17% of Coppin State University students repaying loans are in default

Out of 1,094 Coppin State University students repaying loans in 2015, 186 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the four-year public school in Baltimore a default rate of 17 percent for that year – 1.3 percentage points lower than in 2014 and 2.5 points higher than in 2013.

Coppin State University had 9 fewer students in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 21 more than in 2013.
