Coppin State University issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.
Last week was Computer Science Education Week. With this, an Hour of Code is celebrated across the globe. This is an hour people dedicate to coding - either learning something new or teaching someone else. Coppin's undergraduate chapters of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and ACM- Women sponsored our event along with my research lab - Lab for Artificial Intelligence and it's Application (LAIA). Our goal was to introduce students to electronics using prototyping components called Arduinos and some fun electronic boards called Makey Makeys.
Students had a great time. We will have more events like this next semester.
