University of Maryland Medical Center recently issued the following announcement.
Leg pain is often a symptom of diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, or a non-healing wound that when left untreated increases risk for amputation. Nearly all lower limb amputations begin with a non-healing ulcer or chronic wound in the foot.
The University of Maryland Medical Center invites you to learn more about the latest therapies, research and treatments for limb preservation. Experts in vascular and orthopedic surgery will be available to answer your questions on how to aggressively address the factors which lead to limb loss.
