Towson (Baltimore city County) home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Towson in Baltimore city County rose by $79,835 while total sales decreased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $216,500 - a 58.4% increase over the $136,665 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Towson in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Towson for 2018 was $2,728. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,728, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
