EDA awards the Baltimore Development Corporation $240,000 grant on Sept. 12

The US Economic Development Administration awarded the Baltimore Development Corporation a grant worth $240,000 to help fund a project in Baltimore city.

The grant was awarded on Sept. 12. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) in the Baltimore City region. The strategy will help stabilize and diversify the economy by focusing on an innovation based approach that leverages current assets, identifies new opportunties, and builds on a highly trained workforce. Once completed, the project will bring together the public and private sectors to strengthen the regional economy."
