79 percent of applicants to Loyola University Maryland were admitted for fall 2018

At Loyola University Maryland, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Baltimore enrolled 5,645 students in fall 2018, including 3,879 in undergraduate and 1,766 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

20 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 79 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).

The school admitted 79 percent of the 10,251 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 13 percent enrolled.
