66 percent of applicants to Morgan State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Morgan State University, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Baltimore enrolled 7,712 students in fall 2018, including 6,419 in undergraduate and 1,293 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

64 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 35 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (80 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (3 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 8,631 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
