7.7 percent of Loyola University Maryland students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 7.7 percent of Loyola University Maryland students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Loyola University Maryland has 3,879 undergraduate students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men, and a total student body of 5,645 students. Of these students, 179 men and 257 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Loyola University Maryland with the most participants are lacrosse (74), rowing (67) and swimming and diving (63).
