BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM: City Schools seeks community feedback about proposed plan for virtual learning during some inclement weather days

Editor's note: this is an updated version of an announcement initially made on Nov. 30, 2022. This version was updated following review by the Board of School Commissioners on Dec. 13, including opportunities for public comment.

As we head into the winter months, City Schools is preparing for potential inclement weather days (most commonly known as snow days). As part of that preparation, we are looking for feedback on our proposed plan for shifting to virtual learning during some inclement weather days.

To gather feedback, we are encouraging families, students, staff, and other stakeholders to review the Executive Summary (English | Spanish). In the coming days, City Schools will share new options for you to share feedback. The plan will be submitted to Maryland State Department of Education for review before the end of the 2022 calendar year.
