To our surrounding schools:
I am writing to invite you to this year's peer tutoring conference showcasing the work of the Baltimore City College Writing Center and Math Center. Our centers have been open for nearly a decade and have been instrumental in providing supplementary academic supports and ensuring the success of our students. Our tutors will be delivering presentations on peer tutoring as social justice and equity work and will be guiding participants through the steps of starting a peer tutoring center at their schools as well as providing training on how to conduct peer tutoring sessions in both English and Math.
The conference is free to Baltimore city public school administrators, teachers, and students and will be held on February 1, a half day, from 9am to 12pm to be followed by a debrief and light luncheon concluding at 1pm.
