Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners Policy Committee will meet at May 15.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

Board and Staff Discussion (3:30-5:00pm)

• JICK: Bullying, Harassment, and Intimidation of Students

• GBN: Appointment, Assignment, Transfer, Probation, Election to Tenure, Resignations and Retirements

-Conversion of Board Rule 402.02, 402.03, 402.04, 402.06, 402.07, 402.09, 402.10, 405.01, and 405.02

• GCC: Absences and Procedures Used to Report Absences Leaves of Absence

-Conversion of Board Rule 404

Public Comment - 5:00 – 5:30pm or immediately following discussion

Next Meeting Dates: June 19, 2018 - 3:30 – 5:30pm

Policy Committee Public Comment Procedures

• Advance Sign-Up Permitted Only beginning at 9:00am the Thursday before the meeting until 5:00pm the Monday before the meeting date. Individuals or groups interested in providing comments to the committee may sign-up one of three ways:

o Contact the Board Office at 443-984-2000; or,

o Visit the Board Office at Alice G. Pinderhughes Building, 200 E. North Avenue, Room 406; or,

o Emailing the Board Office at schoolboard@bcps.k12.md.us

• Up to 5 individuals will be given the opportunity to provide comment to the Policy Committee.

• Speakers will be granted 3 minutes.

• All public comments should address policy related issues.

• Sign-up is not permitted the day of the meeting.
