71 percent of applicants to Notre Dame of Maryland University were admitted for fall 2017

At Notre Dame of Maryland University, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 95 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Baltimore enrolled 2,475 students in fall 2017, including 816 in undergraduate and 1,659 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

85 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (44 percent) and Black or African American (30 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 895 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
