Baltimore City Department of Transportation issued the following announcement.
Each year, from September 15 – October 15, America observes National Hispanic Heritage Month. Celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose forebears hail from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central or South America. September 15 marks the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua; while Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence on September 16 and September 18, respectively. Throughout the month, join events all over Baltimore in commemoration of Hispanic Heritage.
