BALTIMORE CITY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION: Lane Closures Along the Edmondson Avenue Bridge

Closure

Baltimore City Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Edmondson Avenue Bridge for construction activities.

Starting on or about Friday, September 14, 2018, daily lane closures will be implemented along the Edmondson Avenue Bridge between Hilton Parkway and Longwood Street weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. During these times, only one lane of through traffic will be allowed across the bridge as construction activities progress. A flagging operation will direct alternating east/west traffic through the work zone each day.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should expect congestion and delays due to the lane reductions and flagging operation. Citizens are encouraged to plan ahead by allowing additional commute time during the flagging period or using alternate routes.

These daily lane closures are expected to be implemented for approximately 2 weeks.
