BALTIMORE CITY COLLEGE: 11/15 announcements

Baltimore City College issued the following announcement Nov. 15.

Students for a Democratic Society Students for a Democratic Society will be collecting items to support BARCS, a local animal rescue center, during November. Collection boxes will be available outside the auditorium every morning. Needed items include: dog and cat toys as well as pet blankets and beds.

Art Assistants Did you create art during the pandemic? Would you be interested in displaying it at City? Artworks will be collected by next Wednesday (11/17) and displayed in the gallery on the first floor. A variety of mediums are welcome! See Ms. Chin in room 223 for details, or scan the QR codes on our posters

National Honor Society National Honor Society Members - If you're interested in applying for one of the NHS scholarships please apply by December 1st. See the NHS website for details.

Science Department This month's installment of the STEM Speaker Series will take place on Wednesday, 11/17 in Doetsch Hall during advisory. Join us to hear from Mr. Bashiru Kamara who uses his STEM expertise to help with public health tracking and support in Georgia Public Schools!

BCC Speech and Debate Congratulations to Saidah and Skylar for a third Place finish at the DC Dragon Debate tournament. Ingrid Sizer and Stephanie Bexploded on the scene with a 3-3 record in their first tournament ever. Eva and Rita made it to the break round. So proud of these Collegians.

BCC Speech and Debate "BCC Debate swept the awards at BCFL tournament this weekend. Ben Caplan and Sylvia were gold medalists . Big shout outs to first timers Daysha , Chiderá O, Te'mar W, Aylise J, Isabella A, Juliette C, and Josmie M

President Funk finished with a 2-1.
